Leading the way in offshore accommodation support, this vessel is the second in a series of vessels to be offered by Atlantic Marine as the solution to the Round 3 offshore wind “accommodation for technicians” requirements and the offshore hydrocarbon platform accommodation “walk to work” need for a powerful, stable, deep sea /offshore DP2 ‘Floatel’ with multi role OSV capabilities including Diving and ROV support.
The 83 metre ex Seismic vessel ‘Geco Triton’ has been purchased from Western Geco by Atlantic Marine, UK and will now trade as the ‘Atlantic Enterprise’. Originally delivered in 1970 by the Bender Shipbuilding & Repair Co, US the vessel will now be converted for use predominantly in the European offshore renewable market as a ‘mothership’ type floatel and accommodation vessel. New Owners will design the ship to support offshore round 3 wind developers plus platform support and maintenance. The ship is SPS code compliant with berths for 100+, walk to work, DP2, a heave compensated gangway, Heli operations and will be able to accommodate 2 x CTV transfer vessels in a stern deck garage facility.
